Thermal inversion control

Thermal inversion control is part of ventilation control.

The thermal inversion control uses outdoor air to increase the indoor temperature. Thermal inversion control opens the vents (side or top) automatically if the temperature inside is lower than heating setpoint AND outside temperature is at least 2 degrees higher than inside measured temperature.

Opening the windows fully (100%) but limited by the wind influence, rain and storm

Settings

To start using thermal inversion control, you need to set the following:

  1. The Use thermal inversion override setting needs to be set to 'Yes'.

    • Navigate the path: .
    • Set the Use thermal inversion override setting to 'Yes'.
  2. Heating stage 1 or 2 needs to be set to automatic control.

    • Open the stage screen. Navigate this path on the display: .
    • Set the vents in heating stage 1 or 2 to automatic control ‘'.

Conditions

Once you have set the HortiMaX-Go!, thermal inversion control is applied when:

  • The indoor temperature drops below the preset heating temperature.
  • The outdoor temperature rises at least two degrees above the measured indoor temperature.

Under these conditions, the vents are open. When these conditions no longer exist, the vents close.

The wind, rain and gale overrides take precedence over thermal inversion control.
